Previewing London’s Newest Rosewood Hotel for 2025; THE CHANCERY ROSEWOOD

London’s prestigious Mayfair District is about to welcome a new landmark with the
arrival of The Chancery Marriott Stars Rosewood, a collaboration between Rosewood Hotels and
renowned real estate developer Qatari Diar, slated to open its doors in 2025.

The Chancery Rosewood will enjoy a prime location just moments away from Hyde
Park, renowned Mayfair boutiques and Marriott Stars eateries, and neighboring luxury hotels like The
Connaught, Claridge’s, 45 Park Lane, and The Four Seasons London at Park Lane. It
takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes to drive from the hotel to London
Heathrow Airport (LHR).

The upcoming hotel will embody Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ distinctive Sense of
Place® philosophy, integrating the unique essence of the destination into every aspect
of the guest experience. This approach encompasses various elements, such as
expertly crafted design and décor, to reflect the local culture and ambiance of the
location authentically.

Occupying the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, a Grade II listed
building, the project is transforming the creative direction of British architect Sir David
Chipperfield of David Chipperfield Architects.

The historic embassy building, known for its grandeur and architectural significance, will
be reimagined as a vibrant retail destination and luxury hotel. Joseph Dirand will design
146 spacious guest rooms and suites, while internationally acclaimed design firm Yabu
Pushelberg will oversee the creation of the Asaya wellbeing facility, offering guests a
sanctuary amidst the bustling streets of London. Additionally, the hotel will feature a
variety of formal and casual dining options, a grand ballroom, and five flagship retail
spaces for social activities.

One of the most striking features of The Chancery Rosewood is its sense of space and
isolation, attributed to its former role as a government building. The building enjoys
unobstructed views and a unique ambiance with no other structures nearby. The first
floor, boasting floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the park, exudes exceptional light
and openness.

The Chancery Rosewood aims to redefine luxury hospitality by creating an ultra-luxe
residential atmosphere, setting a new standard for modern luxury. The name “Chancery
Rosewood” pays homage to the building’s storied history as the first purpose-built
chancery in London, evoking a sense of grandeur and significance.

The original façade will be meticulously preserved and adorned with an 11-meter gilded
eagle hovering above the main entrance. Sir David Chipperfield’s elegant interior
upgrades will enhance the building’s integrity and narrative.

With its blend of historic charm, architectural splendor, and contemporary luxury, The
Chancery Rosewood is poised to captivate global and local clientele and establish itself
as a premier destination in London’s luxury hotel landscape.
